my favourite things....

i thought i would do a post every so often about my favourite things.

one thing that makes it very high on the list is this little guy...

meet momo...

momo is the reason why i am able to sleep in till 7am every morning! i owe my extra sleep to this little invention and i would love to give the person who created it a huge high 5!!!

at night when we tuck jobe into bed, we also say goodnight to momo and set the alarm. when you do this, momo's eyes close and off he goes to sleep too.

here is momo sleeping....

if jobe wakes up in the middle of the night, (or anytime that is not a decent time of the morning!!), we can show him that momo is still sleeping. this lets jobe know that it is still night time and he has to go back to sleep until momo wakes up. so when 7am comes along (or whatever time you set the alarm to go off), momo opens up his eyes and plays a cute little jungle theme tune (you can also have the option of turning this off, which is what i do, so if jobe happens to be really tired he can sleep past the alarm).

before i got momo, jobe would wake really inconsistently in the mornings and would beg and beg to get out of bed. this was really hard and especially when macy was a little newborn because he would come in and disturb her. ever since introducing momo to him and explaining that when momo sleeps, you should be sleeping, he has never once gotten up earlier than 7am!! yes thats right!!! (except on the odd time that he needs to use the bathroom, but when that happens he knows to hop back into bed and wait for momo to open his eyes!) how cool is that!!!

plus jobe really loves the fact that he is so cute (his favourite soft toy he takes everywhere with him is a monkey..) and that he has his own special alarm clock just for him.

momo gets 2 thumbs up!!!

so yes, this really makes the top of my list of favourite things and i thought that other people who have littlies who wake up at crazy hours of the morning would like to know that there is something that could solve this and momo could also be your favourite thing too!!

oh yeah, i got it 1/2 price at farmers for $25 but i would totally pay the full amount for it as i know it works! you can also get them from most baby stores like babycity and also online at the sleep store.
