happy 3rd birthday jobe!!

our jobe boy turned 3 yesterday. just thinking that he isnt 2 anymore is so weird!

i have the good old australian womans weekly children's birthday cake book and for months before his birthday, jobe had already picked out the racing car cake. ok, to be honest, i didn't want to do this cake as it looked like a number 8! you can't have a number 8 cake for your 3rd birthday!! haha.. anyway, tim and i ended up making up our own track. here it is before...

a track complete with lollipop signs, checkered flag, licorice bullet fences and micro machine cars!!

jobe was STOKED!! especially since he can keep the mini cars to play with.

it was really fun watching jobe really get into his birthday this year. no more needing to help him open his presents!
