these last few weeks have gone fast...
so i have been a little distant lately. as i said in my heading, these last few weeks really have been a bit of a blur.
my last posting was pretty much all about teething and how rough that has been. its been nearly 3 weeks since my last post and i can report that it has improved. i was beginning to think that these teeth of macy's were never going to come through, but the last couple of days they have just started peeking through. she has just figured out that she can do a lovely grinding noise, which makes me cringe every time! (if anyone has any ideas as to how to get her to stop, that would be great by the way!!)..
what else has happened since my last post? well we have moved house! that is the main reason why i haven't had the time to sit down and write anything. my mind was just too scrambled.
we moved house because the family farm got sold, so it was time to move on. we are sharing a big house with my husband's parents. "you are doing what??!!" you might say? we have had a few comments similar to that, but really, its great! i mean, there are definitely sacrifices when you combine two families together, but we find that the benefits far outweigh them. what are they? well here are a few just off the top of my head...
- sharing the cost of living - internet/power/groceries
- we are doing a cooking/cleaning roster where every 2nd night we cook & clean and the next night we have off - its great having the night off!!, and..
- babysitters on hand for if tim and i want to go out on a date!
i love the house we are in. we are renting a big 2 storied place, just outside of hamilton, which has tons of room for the kids. there is 5 acres on the property which still makes it feel like we are out of town but we have the convenience of all the shops nearby. when i have some time between unpacking and getting settled, i'll post a few pics of my favourite things around the house - just because there are so many!
but for now, macy is napping and jobe is having quiet time (a rare occasion that they are both occupied at one time), so im going to go make a cup of tea and relax on the couch before its all on again!
sorry that there is no photos this post, but i will try to get some up soon!
